My Router is a Lynksys WAG160N, with Wireless N and ADSL2+ Modem. My exchange (Remuera) is ADSL2+, My Telecom plan aloows for data to download as fast as my line allows. Why, then, is my connection speed only 1.6mbps? Shouldn't it be far higher?

tHanks!

But are you paying for ADSL 2?

Even if u have a DSL 2 modem and the exchange is DSL2 it doesnt mean you'll get it.

Unless you probably pay for it, or the ISP hasnt switched you over to get DSL 2 speed.

It may also depend on how far you are, from the local exchange

Well, does Telecom offer ADSL2+ Plans? All they seem to offer is 'The day to day speed of your broadband will vary depending on a number of factors.' What ISP's do offer ADSL2+ plans? Is there any word on Telecom releasing ADSL2+ plans?

Thanks!

Dont know, I'm not with Telecom, check their site.

I think Orcon have ADSL2, but as previously posted, I think it'll also depend how far you are from the exchange. The further youre away from it / one, the slower it'll probably be.

I'm with Xnet, and also have a ADSL2+ modem, and I'm definitely not getting DSL2 speeds.
