Subject: avg 3 hours scanning time ???

updated from 7 to 8 , and run time went from 1h 10m to 3hours, have turned off link scanner,resident shield,
update manager,tryed to turn off anti spyware = wont let me and set speed to fast but, it resets itself back to centre
would be nice to shorten run time to around the same
how long does yours take ?? and how do i fix it

Use Avast Home instead. It does a way better job than AVG.

AVG got worse when V8 came out.

Its too buggy, and doesnt really detect anything, but if it does sometimes it doesnt get rid of it.
