The TVNZ NetGuide Schools Web Challenge has returned for its 8^th year. Its aim is to get school students of all ages excited about the Internet by encouraging them to create a Web site based on something they learned in school. Every year thousands of New Zealand children get involved in the Challenge. Registration opened on June 9th and students have until September 5^th to create and upload their Web sites to be eligible to share in more than $35,000 worth of prizes.

Sponsors of this year’s Web Challenge include NetGuide, TVNZ, HP, Mission-On and the Ministry of Education. Winners and finalists will be invited to a special ceremony and prize-giving held at TVNZ’s Auckland headquarters in October.
